Danica Dawn Johnston

Danica Dawn Johnston has gained local, regional and international acclaim for her performances in a wide range of productions in musical theatre, opera, concert and the dramatic stage.  A three-time regional finalist runner-up in the Metropolitan Opera Council National Audition and winner of Charlotte Opera Guild Competition, Greensboro Euterpe Competition and Outstanding Performer of the Year (Regional NATS), she has delighted audience in roles ranging from Musetta in La Boheme to Velma in Chicago.  She has appeared with many regional symphonies, including our very own Houston Symphony.  To round out her talents, she captained the UNC Greensboro women’s soccer team to the sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament during her collegiate career and was nominated for the NCAA Female Student Athlete of the Year.

Regina Renae Hearne

Regina Renae Hearne is a native Houstonian and mother of two, who is no stranger to the stage. Her love for music and theatre started at the age of five. Born into a musically inclined family, she began her journey as a performer singing in the church, alongside her father. Regina graduated from James Madison High School in 1994. Afterwards, she attended Prairie View A&M University where she majored in Theatre Arts. While there, she received accolades which included the “Irene Ryan Award”, the “Most Talented Freshman Award”, and was chosen to perform at the NAFEO Convention in Washington, D.C. In various local theatres here in Houston, Regina has performed in such shows as “Shout Hallelujah”, “Rage”, “It Ain’t Over Til The Fat Lady Sings”, “Praise The Lord And Raise The Roof”, “The Last Session”, “The Cotton Club”, and “Ain’t Misbehavin”. Her most recent feature performances include The Ensemble Theatre productions of “Blues in the Night”, “Sanctified”, “Cinderella” and “Travelin: A Harlem Musical”. She has also worked with various record labels and production studios in the capacity of A&R Manager, Vocal Trainer, Make-up Artist, Graphic Designer, and Photography. Regina currently serves as the Minister of Music at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, under the tutelage of Pastor Harold E. Stanley and First Lady Johnetta Stanley. Her love for God and His will for her life is what she now desires.
