Nathan Kessel will be singing with the orchestra for Etta Mae’s Musicale.
A native of Worcester, Massachusetts, Baritone – Nathan Kessel, received his bachelor’s degree at the Eastman School of Music and is a first year master’s student in the studio of Robin Rice at Rice University. Nathan has appeared as Ottone in L’Incoronazione di Poppea with the Eastman Opera Theater and in concert with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra’s production of The Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan. Nathan received training as a young artist at Ash Lawn Opera and Ohio Light Opera. In September, Kessel made his Stude Concert Hall debut as the bass soloist in the Mozart’s Requiem, performed in memory of those who were lost on 9/11. Nathan has won competitions on the national and international levels and in 2013 he was named the Boston Globe’s Young Artist of the year for making his debut with the Boston Symphony at the age of 17.
