The Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra includes people of all ages. Some are advanced students who strive for an opportunity to play with more experienced musicians; others are full-time professionals. All are hard working musicians who donate their time and talents to bring quality orchestral music to Fort Bend County--and have a great time doing so!

We have immediate openings for bassoon, percussion, violin, viola, cello, and double bass players. Both permanent and alternate positions are available with all musicians serving as unpaid volunteers. Candidates should prepare a three to five-minute solo and be ready to demonstrate their sight-reading skills. The solo piece can be written with accompaniment or not, but please note that there will be no accompaniment at the audition. Auditions are open to musicians of high school age and older. Rehearsals are held most Tuesday nights 7:15pm-9:30pm at Stafford High School. FBSO performs from October through May in a five concert series, with a special performance during the Stafford July 4th celebration.
